It's been a while since I've pulled out the elastic and indulged in a bit of shirring love!
A few weeks ago I got the urge to shirrrrr!
The last time I whipped up a few pretty little shirred dresses was when Hannah was about 6 months old. So I did a bit of a search and found this great tutorial from Jorth for a shirred dress that comes complete with various sizings. Fantastic!
I'm super happy with how this cute little number turned out! With any luck, it will still fit Hannah once Summer rolls around again at the end of the year.
How adorable is this fabric! It's from the Little Kukla Collection, designed by Suzy Ultman and manufactured by Robert Kaufman. It's called Little Leaves in Bright and you can source it here at XO Gigi Fabrics.
If you've been hesitant to try your hand at shirring, you should really give it a go! You'll wonder why you waited so long! Trust me!!!
Are you a shirring enthusiast or procrastinator?
