Sunday Session #4 - Surfer Jeff...

It's that time of the week again....

Thanks so much to everyone who linked up last week.

Due to the insane storms, I haven't had a chance yet to pop in and leave a comment on everyone's posts yet, but I'll endeavour to do double the work this week ;-)  That being said, I have listened to all the link ups and there really were some beauties last week!

This week, I'm sharing just the one song this week.
It's a song that's been on high rotation here at Cass Can Sew HQ lately....

Hannah, like any toddler, LOVES The Wiggles.

She hands us the remote control and says "Surper Jepp?" and then asks MY Man the Muso to draw her a picture of Jeff Wiggle surfing on a wave.  It's pretty cute!

This is actually the last production ever with the original Wiggles cast.  I must admit, I'm a little sad that they all won't be on the screen in the future.... but the new cast look like fun & it's super cool that there is now a girl Wiggle!

Emily on the other hand, is less than impressed to hear the same song over and over and over again.  Each time she lets out a ghastly teenage sigh and rolls her eyes, I quickly remind her that when she was the same age as Hannah, The Wiggles with The Crocodile Hunter (action man!) was pretty much on repeat.

My Man the Muso and I often catch ourselves singing the songs from kids shows.

Do/did your kids make you endure endless hours of nursery rhymes and catchy kiddie ditties?

Now it's your turn....

The Rules are pretty simple....

There are no rules!!!

You could post about ...

What you're listening to right now,

What song has been stuck in your head all week,
Your favourite tunes of all time,
What you love to sing as you sew,
...anything music related really!

Include a youtube clip of your choice(s) so that everyone can have a listen too!

Then link up here each Sunday for Sunday Sessions.

It would be fantastic if you could drop by to some of the other links joining in and leave a comment to help share the Sunday Session love.

I'd love it if you could help spread the word by adding a link in your post or by sharing the Sunday Sessions button on your post or somewhere on your blog... but this isn't mandatory... only if you want!

  1. The Wiggles is a favourite in our house, too. It is sad to think that the original crew will no longer perform together - I actually saw them in 1993 when my Drama class decided it would be a good way to get out of school if we went to watch a live performance of, well, anything!

  2. Oh you bet Cass. We've had our fair share of the Wiggles here. Thank goodness we're past that. Now its Ninjago, Battleforce 5 or repeats of Taylor Swift over and over again. I'm not sure which is worse? LOL I must admit, I have liked some of the songs from some of the kids movies over the years. These Hollywood kid's movies song writers are pretty good. Just think. Emily will have a few more years of The Wiggles yet! Thanks for the party!

  3. Each of our 3 kids have gone through a Wiggles phase. I remember when our son would play Wiggly Safari with Steve Irwin over and over and over again...crikey! THanks again for hosting Cass! Kirsty @ My Home Truths

  5. I don't have a post this week but I seriously cannot stop listening to Alt-J! The entire album is amazing.
That is I can't stop listening to it in between listening to nursery rhymes on heavy rotation!

  7. I can't believe The Wiggles are more. They were around for so long it still seems odd.
We used to have Bob The Builder, High 5 and The Wiggles playing constantly on cd or tv when my big kids were bubbas and now my twins are very into Baby Jake so we sing "Go gi giya" over and over :)

  8. Great link up lovely!! I also included the iconic Wiggly bunch in my post today - must say I enjoyed their final concert - I mean I enjoyed Baby Girl enjoying their final concert aherrmmm. Not sure about the new line up though, that new Red Wiggle has the deepest voice I think I've heard - might scare some of the little uns. LOL!
