Welcome back for the 2nd installment of Sunday Session!
First up.... I'd just like to say a big thank you to everyone who linked up at short notice last week. I loved stopping by and grooving along to your choices and hope you'll join me again this week!
Secondly.... if you the Sunday Session is a new concept to you, keep on reading to find out how you can join in too. Last week we had 7 lovely linkers... fingers crossed we get a couple more for week 2.
The Rules are pretty simple....
There are no rules!!!
You could post about ...
What you're listening to right now,
What song has been stuck in your head all week,
Your favourite tunes of all time,
What you love to sing as you sew,
...anything music related really!
Include a youtube clip of your choice(s) so that everyone can have a listen too!
Then link up here each Sunday for Sunday Sessions.
It would be fantastic if you could drop by to some of the other links joining in and leave a comment to help share the Sunday Session love.
I'd love it if you could help spread the word by adding a link in your post or by sharing the Sunday Sessions button on your post or somewhere on your blog... but this isn't mandatory... only if you want!
This week.....
I'm going with a "Holiday" theme.

This week.....
I'm going with a "Holiday" theme.
Here in sunny Queensland, we have just over one week of school holidays left! To be honest, I CAN'T WAIT for school to start!!!
I'm at that point as a mother of a school aged child, where I feel like screaming if I hear the dreaded "I'm booooored" phrase one more time. Oh... and let's not forget the "I'm huuuungryyyyy" phrase either!
Emily is starting high school this year, so I'm fairly familiar with how things roll over the 6 week Christmas break. By this stage, most kids are ready to go back too.. they just don't know it! It's around this stage, every year that everyone
(in this house anyway) starts going stir crazy.
(in this house anyway) starts going stir crazy.
I just want my "me time" back now.... time for me to sew something uninterrupted .. time for me to blog in peace.
I need a holiday!!!
How do you cope with School Holidays?
Now it's your turn.....

Hi Cass! Great choices for holiday "anthems"!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the Green Day song the most. For some unfathomable reason, I'm not looking forward to the end of school holidays. I guess I'm enjoying the break from routine more than I'm disliking the statements of "I'm bored" and "He stuck his finger in my ear!"
ReplyDeleteI'm not looking forward to the end of the holidays, either. But then, I'm a teacher so the end of the holidays means back to work for me! :)
DeleteGreat choices, Cass! I'm usually counting the days by now for the school holidays to end, but we've had an awesome break this time round.
ReplyDeleteOH, DON'T I KNOW IT! Even though my kids (maybe not so much the boy) are ready to go back to school, I'm missing the routine and 'me' time too. No break in sight when you're a single Mum, that's for bloody sure! LOL (I do get Australia Day weekend off though, so that's something.)
ReplyDeleteAnne xx
Great holiday songs Cass! Also thanks for bringing SUnday Sessions back, so excited to be joining in
ReplyDeletei am looking forward to my kids going back to school too ,the only thing ill miss is not having to rush around every morning ,great songs :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think my last comment worked. So I might look like a dork by commenting twice...
ReplyDeleteGreat song choices!
I am over school holidays but am enjoying the slow mornings. School starts at 8am here. That will make for some interesting mornings for us as Miss Mahli is NOT a morning person!
I'm so excited to be joining in. Love your song choices.
ReplyDeletethanks for hosting Sunday Session!!
ReplyDeleteI am another one that is usually counting down the holidays, but this break has flown by so fast!!
Great song choices Cass! I'm torn these holidays. I'm really enjoying them but I think the kids do need a return to routine and they are, quite frankly, eating me out of house and home! Kirsty @ My Home Truths.
ReplyDeleteLove these choices! Thanks for hosting :)
