A Ruffled Half Apron for Lily....

Now that Christmas is done and dusted, I can start showing you the gifts that I made for my niece.  Lily is heading into Prep this year!  Her first year of school!  I'm pinching myself about where the time went!  She's a clever little munchkin and a real girly girl.  I always know that whatever I sew for her will be met with gasps and much appreciation.

As part of her Christmas present from the Cass Can Sew Clan, I whipped up this sweet little ruffled half apron.

The gorgeous floral fabric was kindly given to me from my cousin who was having a destash last year.

I used my serger/overlocker to create the ruffles.  I'm addicted to making ruffles that way now!  So easy!!!

The look on little Lily's face when she opened her present was priceless!

I think I need to make one of these for Hannah now too.  It will go perfectly with the play kitchen setting that Santa delivered on Christmas morning.

  2. That is so cute! I need to figure out how to work the ruffle feature on my serger...actually, I have a LOT to figure out on my serger. That apron is part incentive!

  3. That is totally gorgeous! I agree about ruffles on the overlocker - I'll never go back! And rolled hem to finish them, I love how it looks. I bet Lily was over the moon with that gift!
